I’m excited to announce a donation-based knitting class that’s perfect for those who are interested in learning how to knit as well as those who are experienced knitters and anyone in between. And who doesn’t want bunnies running all around to keep us company while we’re knitting?
The event will be on May 10th from 5pm-6pm at the Nevada Humane Society located at 2825-B Longley Lane in Reno, NV.
The suggested donation is $10-$15 and if that’s too much for you, no worries, just give what you can! The donations collected from this event will benefit the bunnies at the Humane Society.
Please come prepared to sit on the ground. Bring a blanket, cushion, “low boy” beach chair or back jack floor chair (like this one
) that way you can be close to where the bunnies will be.
You can bring your own knitting project and I’ll be available to answer questions and to clarify confusing parts as best as I can.
If you’re new to knitting or would like to participate in the event’s project, it will be a One-Square Bunny. This simple project will be to knit a square using the basic knit stitch then to sew and form it in such a way that it looks like a bunny.
- scrap yarn with corresponding knitting needle size
- Lion Brand Yarn Vanna’s Choice Yarn or Heartland Yarn
- Straight 10″ Knitting Needles in Size US 9
- optional: Scissors (always good to have) and Tapestry Needles (I will have a few people can use if needed)
A photo of One-Square Bunny will be up soon!!

Can’t wait to see you all there!
