Mr. Mac the Cactus

Mr. Mac is a sensitive and very fashionable guy. He likes to be out fighting for a cause and likes a cold beer at the end of the day.

Leave a 6-8″ tail when casting on at the beginning. This will be used for cinching the top.

R1. CO 20

R2. SC 20

R3-R24. sc 20 into the back loop

Line up end and beginning and sc both sides together.

Leave a tail for attaching to bottom later.

Thread tail at beginning and loop through ridges along top.

Cinch and tie off.

Put two safety eyes about an inch from the bottom with two ridges between them.

FINISHING

Stuff the pieces with polyester stuffing.

I prefer to pin the pieces together when assembling them so I will first pin and sew the bottom of the cactus to the top. Afterwards, I will pin the hat to the top of the cactus and sew that piece on.

Sew a sly smile on if you wish with some leftover black yarn.
