Ms. Avery the Cactus

Ms. Avery likes being the life of the party! She loves to adorn herself with a lovely flower and a great smile. She’s a fun crochet project that everyone love!

Pattern Instructions

The cactus portion is made in three parts: the bottom, middle and top. You may choose to omit the middle or top piece as you wish. The bottom is constructed separately and sewn on at the end.

BODY (bottom)

R5-R10. sc 24 (24)

R11. [ dec, sc ]x 6 (12)

Place eyes between rows 6-7 with 5 sts in between.

Leave a tail for attaching to bottom later.

Middle

R1. MR 6 (6)

R2. [ inc ]x 6 (12)

R3-R5. Sc 12 (12)

R6. [ dec, sc ]x 6 (6)

Leave a tail for attaching later.

Top

FLOWER

R1: (with yellow yarn) Chain 5 and connect into round.

R2: Chain 3 and sc into round 5 times. Slip st into first st.

Leave a tail to sew onto cactus.

Finishing

Stuff the pieces with stuffing as needed. I like to pin all the pieces together prior to sewing.
