Seersucker Beanie - Free Knitted Baby Beanie Pattern

The double brim keeps your ears extra warm. the texture used on the beanie is timeless and beautiful. It is meant to be worn with 1”-2” / 2.5cm - 5cm of negative ease (which means 1”-2” / 2.5cm - 5cm smaller than your actual head measurement).
This beanie is made from the bottom-up in once piece. It is a seamless design that is worked in the round. In the instructions, you’ll find two different methods to construct the double-layered brim.
The yarn I chose for this beanie was the Cascade 128. This soft and squishy yarn is also machine washable. The solid color shows off the texture of the beanie really well. It is made with 100% Superwash Merino Wool and comes in a large assortment of colors.

PATTERN INFORMATION:
This beanie is made from the bottom-up in one piece.
It includes two different methods of constructing the brim.
The simple design on the body of the beanie is provided as written instructions as well as a chart.

Needles: US 10.5 (6.5 mm) double-pointed needles or preferred method for small circumference knitting.

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
Setup: Using knitted cast-on OR provisional cast-on, CO 48 sts. PM and join into round, being sure stitches are not twisted.
BRIM
Knit 18 (24, 28, 30) rounds, slipping BORM as needed.
For knitted cast-on: Using spare circular needles and starting at CO tail, PU 48 sts at CO edge.
For provisional cast-on: Transfer 48 sts from waste yarn to spare circular needle.
Fold brim in half with WS facing in. Line up the working circular needle and spare circular needle so the working circular needle is in front of the spare circular needle.
Take RH needle through one st from each needle and knit together.
Continue to knit together one st from each needle until row is completed.
